“ZHUKOVSKY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CARGO” successfully completed the certification procedure for the right to service mail and cargo in the course of domestic and international air transportation

ZHUKOVSKY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CARGO, JSC successfully completed the certification procedure for the right to service mail and cargo in the course of domestic and international air transportation.

Beginning on May 31, 2018, the right to independently receive cargo and mail from shippers, temporary storage and freight consolidation, registration of transportation documentation, commissioning of loading, unloading and securing operations of cargo and information support of air transportation is confirmed by expert opinion of the Aviatransprocess Center operating within the framework of the Aviastandart certification system.

The certificate confirms the compliance of the freight operator with state standards in the field of production activities and aviation security. The document serves as a guarantee of the quality of the provided services and is among the requirements of most airlines and commercial agents. In fact, this opens a new page in the history of ZIA CARGO, shifting work with freight in Zhukovsky to a qualitatively new level.

“Production activity of ZIA CARGO began in December last year. In order to optimize the technical processes and the development of business solutions, we decided not to wait until the completion of the main facility – an international cargo terminal – and started working with cargo agents, using the services of a certified intermediary. Now this page can be turned: we are ready for independent work as a cargo operator of Zhukovsky International Airport”, – commented on the event the general director ZIA CARGO, JSC Evgeny Solodilin.

The construction of the main cargo terminal in Zhukovsky enters the final stage. At the moment, at the site of the project is completing the installation of supporting metal structures and installation of floors. The total area of the terminal under construction will be 9200 square meters. The production capacity of the first stage of the project is 100,000 tons of cargo per year. The beginning of operations is expected in September 2018.

The company also began construction of additional apron areas for parking cargo aircraft. After completion of work – in November 2018 – ZIA CARGO will be able to serve 4 wide-body aircraft of the Boeing-747 type simultaneously.
